Left Behind in disbelief and in a state of confusion.
This couldn't be happening. It's just all an illusion.
We just talked, exchanged emails, you were coming home soon.
Never imagined in a box, draped with a flag, under the cover of the moon.
Can't help but wonder if you suffered...was it quick? I hope you felt no pain.
While still trying to hold it together, in hopes of not going insane.
The kids still need me, so it's required that we go on.
But there's no way to erase the pain of a loved one that has passed on.
Now living second to second, when before day by day.
Trying to smile through the tears in a room filled with grey.
But I can take pride in the memories that seventeen years can bring,
And Thank God for the Gift of You, our Children and the Honor of wearing Your Ring.
It's been tough adjusting to a New Life for which I had no plans.
But I can honestly say that with God, I am in good hands.
The kids are doing well, God protects them that way.
But for me it's a little different...This was a huge price to pay.
Although this could be considered a horrible situation.
I can easily find the good because of my Biblical Foundation.
And one thing I can Always hold Dear to My Heart,
Is The Fact that "WE DID IT BOO....TIL DEATH DO US PART"

Are You at Risk of Being Exposed?

This morning I was awakened way before my scheduled interruption. It was about 4 o'clock AM. After tossing and turning, I was unable to go back to sleep. So me being the person that I am filled with such "bright" ideas, I made the decision to go to the gym. A decision that I have not made in a very, very long time, but this morning I persuaded myself.

While at the Gym, I was exposed......exposed to the treadmill, exposed to the elliptical machine, the ab machine, weights, etc.... Well you get the picture, right?

So my question to you today is; Are you at risk of being exposed?

For most of us it is a daunting task to allow ourselves to step outside of our comfort zones. We spend countless hours repeating our same habits and rituals and it doesn't even cross our minds to try something different. Last night after teaching my third class in a three part series, during my Q&A session, several of my students began to share things about themselves and their experiences.

Let me first tell you that my classes are always very diverse. I have all races as well as various types of industries that attend the sessions. During an attempt to better explain his point, one of my students, used the analogy of scuba diving. Immediately other students in my class began to cut in and let him know that they could not relate to what he was talking about. I myself could not relate either because I have never been scuba diving. I have never been "exposed" to it. My lack of exposure is based solely on my lack of interest in the sport and not in my lack of ways of exposure. Sure, I have many friends that take part in the sport on a regular basis, but because it does not interest me....I do not participate.

For the things in life that truly interest me, I have made it a point and a goal to gain as much exposure to them as possible. It may be by way of surfing the internet, reading books, taking classes, etc. By any means necessary, I have decided that I will be exposed to the things that interest me most. Your source exposure depends heavily upon you and your actions.

Now for many, they have interests that they have not even begun to act upon even though a way of exposure is directly put into their paths. It's easy to find an excuse or a way to remain in the same position rather than to step out of the comfort zone and change lanes. It's time to release yourself of your fears and allow yourself to be exposed.

The time for change is now. Change doesn't happen until you make the decision to change and exhort the energy needed to make it happen. Stop using the same old habits to try and make a new ending. It is not going to happen. You must travel a new route on your path to a new ending.

Here's a few tips; on your way home from work, try another route. You may discover that it may get you there quicker. If you are used to wearing a certain color palette, switch to one that you have been afraid to try. You may discover that those colors accent you a lot better than the ones you've been comfortable with in the past. If you and your family don't all sit down to eat dinner at the same time, try to set a time and a place for everyone to sit down and eat together for a couple of days out of the week. You may discover some things about each other that you did not know. If you don't go outside of a 10 mile radius of your home for your regular errands and leisure... try going at least past a 20 mile radius... you may find a new restaurant or store that you can now call your favorite. I'm sure that you get my point.

Stop being afraid of being exposed to bigger and better things. Step outside of your comfort zone. Open yourself up to view the world in a different light. They say that you don't miss anything that you never had...but I beg to differ. It is definitely possible to miss out on the finer things in life because you are too afraid to branch out and take advantage of what this world has to offer.

Open yourself up to being exposed....

When the going gets tough...the tough gets going, right? At least that is what I have always been told. Unfortunately I rarely get to witness it. It has become evident that most people don't really have what it takes to press on and persevere through the storm. But for those of us that do, it can be extremely rewarding.

We live in what I would consider a microwave society. We want everything fast and with little to no effort. We have developed a sense of entitlement that leads us to believe that we don't have to work hard to be rewarded. We want rewards and accolades to be easily attained. We have lost sight of all the hard work and dedication that goes into reaching our goals and having the lives of our dreams.

Think about it....everything that you have ever had that was worth keeping did not come to you overnight..did it? For mothers, it took nine months to finally be able to receive that bundle of joy. For those with college degrees, it took years to achieve those ranks. Not many can say that they are a "true" overnight success. Easy come...Easy go!! When we work hard for our rewards, we are much more apt to take better care and have a greater sense of pride.

For those looking for true success in life and in your business, know that it does not happen overnight. You must put in a great amount of work and dedication. There will be sacrifices that you must make and the transition will not be comfortable. Take massive action for an extended amount of time.

Don't put your life in the microwave and expect it to come out perfect...Put it in the oven and let it cook slowly and consistently. The finished product will be much more appetizing!!

Are You a CEO Trapped in the Mind of an Employee?

When I first began my journey as a network marketer, I was exposed to many challenges. The most prevalent of those challenges was my own inability to conform from the mindset of an employee into the mindset of a CEO. Although I had the desires to run my own company and build a successful organization, there were still parts of me that were engrained with the employee mentality.

I half-wittingly did some of the things that I was being taught by the top earners of the company, but I as arrogant enough to think that I could do a lot of it on my own and not follow the map being laid out for me. So, needless to say, I was initially unsuccessful in my business. After watching my up-lines continuously receive large checks, I quickly learned that systems are placed for a very specific reason. S.Y.S.T.E.M = (Save Your Self Time Energy and Money). It’s that simple! Once I was able to grab hold of that concept, there was no stopping me.

For many people that I have spoken with about network marketing their initial thoughts are that it is a pyramid as to where only the people at the top actually make any money. I then explain to them that although it can be considered a pyramid in some aspect, everything is a pyramid to some degree. The corporate world is actually more of a pyramid than any other organization if you were to really break it down.

I think that what most people don’t initially realize about network marketing is that once you become a network marketer, you are immediately at the top of that pyramid and have placed yourself in a position of leadership. You then build your organization down. So, it is in your best interest to build a downline of great leaders or at least people with leadership potential, because if you yourself are a great leader, you will definitely be able to train others to lead as well. So for those that are extremely successful in the business, they have built a downline of people who see the big picture and are willing to do what it takes to be a success themselves and those people do the same and so on and so on.

Do you see the big picture? It is possible for everyone to be a great success with good leadership and the ability to see the vision and carry it out.

In order to be the CEO that you’ve dreamt about being, you must first let go of the employee inside you that is holding you back….

Think about this before choosing a business opportunity

When deciding to go into business for yourself, there are several different aspects to consider that will help you decipher what opportunity would be most beneficial for your particular situation. Here are a few key factors to consider when choosing that opportunity.

First you should take a long hard look at the leadership of the company. I would suggest that you do your research on each of the owners and their affiliates. Make sure that they have a strong support system to ensure your personal, financial and business growth. They should also be well aware of the constant changes in technology and be well prepared and willing to make any necessary changes to their program to ride the curve.

You should also take deep consideration of the product being marketed. That product should have staying power as well as a history of sensibility, usefulness and durability. You want to make sure that six months from now the product will still be prevalent in the market. For example, if the product is software, more than likely there will be stronger technology developed in the near future and that product will no longer be useful.

Next you should research the history of the company. It is a well known fact that 90% of all new companies fail within the first two years of conception. Which means that if you have been convinced that you should join a certain company because of the freshness, because you should strike while the fire is hot and that you can benefit the most because of the opportunity to be one of the first among the company…… Think again! You can do your due diligence by checking the internet, contacting the BBB and asking others in the industry about the company’s history. I once had someone tell me that they were a part of a company that had a history of only having produced 7 Presidents throughout the company. That immediately told me that the product and system were not easily duplicated. It told me that the owners and only a few others were actually profiting from that opportunity which immediately raised a red flag for me.

Another fact to consider is whether or not the company has a reasonable entry fee and has a residual income opportunity. It should not cost you an arm and a leg to join the company and the monthly fees should be easily attained with little effort or minimal sales. You should be able to make your full investment back within a reasonable amount of time. In today’s market, supplemental income and income which has the chance to help secure your financial freedom and give a greater chance for prosperity for retirement is absolutely pertinent. Many company’s offer the right now opportunity for financial gain, but leave little to be desired for the future. You should always be looking for a company that offers all of the above. Money to live on now…. Money to live on later….. and Money that continues to pay for future generations.

If you combine each of these aspects you should have no problem finding the best business to fit your goals and lifestyle.

Don't Be Afraid to Choose You...

In the past few years most peoples lives have taken drastic turns, some for the better and many for the worst. Unfortunately for most this turn of events have left many desperate, depressed and discouraged without any hope or vision for tomorrow.

So, what do you do when you have reached this breaking point? You have to make up your mind that you want to do and are determined to do better. Your situation will never change until you make a concious decision about your desire for change. Then and only then will you be allowed to use your ability and energy to do so.

Most often we don't realize that eveything we do in our lives create a trickling effect. For instance, our attitudes and emotions...we transfer those to others. Our bad decisions....they effect others. Most everything we do may directly or indirectly effect someone other than ourselves. So when we claim to be focused on making the people around us more comfortable, we don't realize that it's not a reality when we ourselves arent 100%

It is time to pick up the pieces and move forward with the lives we have always dreamt of...we live in a day and age where anything is possible. Do not program yourself into believing that you are not worthy or able to obtain the desires of your heart. Look to others for inspiration and motivation.

Be encouraged and know that you were created to be something amazing. But it is up to you to make it happen. We are already equipped with the tools. We may need assistance in navigating, but all "big" planes have a co-pilot.

If you need a mentor, get one. If you need a coach, get one. If you need help, ask for it.

Do whatever it takes to make it happen....Don't just let the wonderful opportunities of life pass you by....

Don't be afraid to choose you!!

You're In....Now What?

You’ve joined a network marketing company….Now What? Wait for the sales and recruits to start piling up, right? WRONG!! It is not going to happen. Your upline is seeing great success, some of your team members are seeing great success, why aren’t you? The non-sugar coated answer would be that it is ALL YOUR FAULT!! Plain and simple. I know that you may be telling yourself that you are doing all that you can to succeed in your business, but are you really? Are you really taking all of the necessary steps to get where you want to be or are you only half-stepping and expecting to reap the full benefits?
First of all let me tell you this….. Never base your expectations on anyone else within your organization. You will be disappointed every time. You cannot compare yourself to others especially those that you see doing extremely well in your industry. You should look to them for inspiration and encouragement and not as competition or comparison.
As a new network marketer it is YOUR RESPONSIBILITY to gain as much knowledge about your company, its products and services as you possibly can. How can you sell something that you know nothing about? How can you develop a passion for something that you yourself don’t understand? You can’t!! You should be a regular consumer of your products. Then and only then will you understand them, relate to them and be able to help others understand and relate to them. This is when your personal organization (your downline) will begin to take lasting shape.
Sure, for some it can be easy to initially explode in the business without any real knowledge, but soon the flame will fizzle. I see it often in this industry, you have those that do absolutely amazing. Above and beyond what any others are doing in the company and then before you know it, they are back to square one. Don’t be one of those people. Build your foundation on solid ground from the beginning.
If you have joined a company that you really believe in, why wouldn’t you give your all? Didn’t you join the company for specific reasons to begin with? More time, financial freedom, funding your retirement, etc. Whatever the case may be, remember that none of that is going to happen without your full undivided attention to your goals and expectations.
Everyone is different. Find YOUR niche. Don’t depend on others to work your business and hold your hand the entire way. Sure your upline should always be available to help you, but that is not always a reality. More often than not, we are left to figure it out on our own. Use the resources and tools available to you. The internet is an excellent source for information about absolutely anything. Take full advantage of it. Your company website should also have tools, resources, tutorials, etc. to help you.
Ask yourself a few questions like….. Have you established a clear goal? Have you set goals that are within your reach? What is it that you’re comfortable with? How can you more effectively work your business for maximum results? What knowledge do you need? Whose help do you need? What system should be in place? These are just a few questions that should be addressed. Don’t leave your success to chance. Be active and watch your dreams begin to take flight.
